Taylor vinner fyra Taste Of Country Awards
Artist Of The Year
Video Of The Year
Tour Of The Year
Best New Pet: Meredith
Taylor Swift fans have made sure her 2012 begins the way her 2011 ended. Getting the most votes in four categories, Swift is one of the big winners of the 2011 Taste of Country Awards. All 10 award winners were decided by readers and fans. The 22-year-old will have to find room on her list of awards she’s won for Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Tour of the Year and Best New Pet (for her kitten Meredith) honors from Taste of Country.
While she collected nearly a third of all votes in each category she won, none were a landslide victory. The 2011 Taste of Country Tour of the Year and Video of the Year Awards were won by less than four percent of the votes. Jason Aldean provided stiff competition for both awards. His My Kinda Party Tour collected just over 29 percent of the votes in the Tour of the Year category, and his ‘Tattoos on this Town’ video collected 28.5 percent of the Video of the Year votes.
Swift’s new kitten Meredith proved to be much too adorable to be ignored. The singer has taken to tweeting often about the kitty, and the videos and pictures she’s posted of Meredith doing mischievous and adorable things are no doubt what propelled the duo to the top of the Best New Pet category. Miranda Lambert‘s new cat Ilsa finished second in that category, followed by Jake Owen‘s dog Merle and Kellie Pickler and Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott’s pets.

"Always comes prepared with a playlist"
Taylor Swift loves "entertaining the crew" when she's sitting in the make-up chair. The country musician's signature feminine look is created by make-up artist Lorrie Turk. The beauty pro says Taylor loves to amuse those around her, even when she's preparing for a red carpet event.
"Whenever I'm doing her make-up, Taylor always seems to be the one entertaining the crew. Whether she's cracking jokes or just having a regular conversation with me she is by far one of the funniest people I have ever known!" she told InStyle.
"Taylor always comes prepared with a playlist, so when she's in the make-up chair, we're all listening to the music she's loving at the time."
Lorrie puts careful consideration into Taylor's beauty look before an event. She liaises with the stunning star's styling team to create the most appropriate look.
"A few days before a big event, I'll ask Taylor's stylist Joseph Cassell for a photo of the dress she plans to wear," she explained. "Along with that, I consider the particular award show or event she is attending and try to get an idea of whether the atmosphere is more casual or more formal that year."

Safe & Sound debuterar på Billboard
'Safe and Sound,' the hot new track from Taylor Swift and the Civil Wars came close to kicking Toby Keith's 'Red Solo Cup' out of the top spot on this week's Billboard Top Country Digital Tracks chart. The melancholy tune, from the soundtrack of the highly-anticipated big screen version of 'The Hunger Games,' roars onto the chart at No. 2, with 135,000 downloads registered since its surprise debut last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Taylor Swift had the third-biggest country disc with 2010's 'Speak Now' selling just shy of one million copies this year. Rounding out country's top five for the year were Scotty McCreery's 'Clear as Day' and Zac Brown Band's 'You Get What You Give.'

Nytt album 2012
Tack för tipset Wilma!
2012 is lined up to be a big year for Taylor Swift. As promised, the 22-year-old ‘Ours’ songstress will follow up her tremendously successful ‘Speak Now’ album with a brand-new release. While we don’t yet have many details on the release date or the title of Swift’s 2012 album, we know that Swift is sure to put her blood, sweat and tears into it — just like she has with all of her previous works. The singer has grown a lot since her 2006 debut, and we’re anxious to see what she has up her sleeve — and her mind — as she settles into adulthood.
The Inspiration
Heartbreak and moving on from it. In an interview with the New Yorker this past fall, Swift revealed that the songs she’s penned thus far for her 2012 album are “sad.” It’s obvious Swift has been scarred by a few folks in the past, and she’s still got plenty to say about it. Haven’t these guys learned that hell hath no fury like a songwriter scorned?
The Songs
A few months ago, Swift told Ryan Seacrest that she was already 25 songs deep in her new album — with a year to go. At this point, it’s a safe bet that she’s pocketed at least enough of the tunes for a strong new album, and the rest will stay under lock and key. Perhaps the most shocking aspect of the fact that Swift is prepared to release a 2012 album — what with her insanely busy schedule over the past year — is that she even had time to sit down and write. “Being so busy, there’s not a lot of time to stop in the middle of the day and just kind of think about this feeling that you just realized about a relationship you had a year ago,” she said, explaining that her best ideas come late at night and proving that as a powerful pop-country icon, she never sleeps. “The ones I love the most end up happening very quickly.”
What to Expect
Supposedly Swift’s best album yet, according to her father, and we don’t doubt his credibility one bit. In December, she released a song that she had been “VERY excited about for a VERY long time” titled ‘Safe and Sound’ with the Civil Wars, which appears on ‘The Hunger Games’ movie soundtrack (preview it here). The track is a bit of a departure from typical Swift songs and brings in a dark element, showing how she has grown as a songwriter and as an artist. We have no idea whether or not ‘Safe and Sound’ is representative of what’s to come on Swift’s own album, but the switch-up in sound is a welcome change, and we’re anxious to see how much of that direction will be reflected on her 2012 new album. The album is due in the later part of the year, which will give the young singer plenty of time to continue her Speak Now Tour overseas and maybe add a few more awards to her collection (she’s up for three 2012 Grammys). We anticipate that the 2012 release from the once-16-year-old ‘Tim McGraw’ star is going to be her most impactful of her career… So far, anyway.

U2's final spate of shows on its massive “360 Tour” lands as the top-grossing tour of 2011 across North America and throughout the world, according to Pollstar, the concert-industry tracking magazine.
The Irish quartet, which had to postpone a significant chunk of shows that had been scheduled in 2010 when singer Bono injured his back, roared back in 2011, pulling in $156 million from 25 shows in 21 cities in North America. Worldwide the group logged $231.9 million from 34 shows in 26 cities.
U2 was the only act to cross the $100-million mark in North America, but pop-country princess Taylor Swift came close with$97.7 million for her “Speak Now” tour, which visited 59 cities for 80 performances.
The rest of the Top 5 for the continent are country superstar Kenny Chesney, who grossed $84.6 million, Lady Gaga ($63.7 million) and the previous year's touring crown winner Bon Jovi. The New Jersey rock band registered $57.1 million during 34 shows in 27 cities, down from $108.2 million in 2010 racked up during a more intensive year of touring that logged 51 shows in 38 cities.

Taylors nyårslöfte/-n!
“I think my goal for the next couple of years would be to make departures in little ways and do things a little differently,” said the Grammy-winning singer, “and try to maintain a balance between always providing your fans with what they’ve always liked from you and continuing to write all my own songs, but I’d love to make collaborations in different directions that aren’t exactly expected.”

Q&A med Twist Magazine!
Q: How are you enjoying being a perfumer?
Taylor: I love having my fragrance Wonderstruck out. It turned out to be something I wear every day, and I'm so proud of how well it's done. I love it when people come up to me and tell me they wear it every day.
Q: People were really into your snow globe photos on Twitter. Have you always made your own snow globes?
Taylor: That was my first time making snow globes out of mason jars, antique Christmas trinkets, and glitter. I found out how to do it on Pinterest. It made for a lovely winter activity day. Making snow globes made me feel like a little kid again.
Q: What are some of your family's holiday traditions?
Taylor: My family and I always decorate a big Christmas tree together and look at the ornaments Austin and I made when we were kids. It's so nostalgic, looking back at all the Christmases past and comparing them to how different our lives are now.
Q: With your tour over, where do you plan to spend the holidays? Are you looking forward to the time off?
Taylor: I plan on spending as much time with my family as possible. It's amazing to have us all together. Also, a lot of my friends are always on tour. To have everyone back in Nashville for the holidays is one of my favorite things about this time of year.

Procter and Gamble have pulled print advertisements featuring Taylor Swift wearing CoverGirl NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara, but it’s not because of anything the 22-year-old country beauty did or didn’t do. The images were “enhanced in post production,” meaning they were Photoshopped to expand upon the makeup’s effect. That’s a no-no, according to the Council of Business Bureau Claims.
While the small print indicated some photo editing, it wasn’t enough to satisfy the National Advertising Division of the CBBC. “You can’t use a photograph to demonstrate how a cosmetic will look after it is applied to a woman’s face and then — in the mice type — have a disclosure that says ‘OK, not really,’” Andrea Levine, director of the National Advertising Division, tells Business Insider.
The advertisement promised “2X more volume” after applying the mascara. Proctor and Gamble agreed to pull the campaign after reviewing the ad, and this seems to have satisfied the NAD.
Swift has not commented on the mini controversy. She’s taking some time off before returning to the road in 2012. According to her official website, she’ll begin a tour of Australia and New Zealand on March 2.

Taylor - Top Earning Women Of The Year
Forbes har släppt sin årliga lista av "The Top Earning Women in Music" och Taylor hamnade på plats nummer 2!
That title belongs to Lady Gaga, who led the pack with a staggering $90 million total boosted by strong album sales, endorsements and an extremely lucrative world tour. Gaga’s total was more than the combined earnings of No. 2 Taylor Swift ($45 million) and No. 3 Katy Perry ($44 million), both of whom also benefitted from heavy touring and popular albums.
The earnings estimates were compiled with the help of data from Pollstar, RIAA and others, as well as extensive interviews with industry insiders including lawyers, managers, concert promoters, agents and, in some cases, the musicians themselves. The totals encompass all pretax income earned from May 2010 to May 2011, before subtracting agent and manager fees.

What's on Taylor Swift's Christmas list?
With her Speak Now tour over, Taylor Swift is enjoying some downtime in Nashville, catching up with family, reconnecting with friends — and creating homemade snow globes.
“That was my first time making snow globes out of mason jars, antique Christmas trinkets and glitter,” she tells PEOPLE of her recent holiday experiment. “I found out how to do it on Pinterest. It made for a lovely winter activity day — it made me feel like a little kid again.”
From the sounds of it, Swift — who turns 22 today — will spend a lot of time reflecting on her childhood this season, considering her favorite family tradition is trimming “a big Christmas tree” with ornaments she and brother Austin made as kids. “It’s so nostalgic,” she says, “looking back at all the Christmases past and comparing them to how different our lives are now.”
The singer — whose toasty “Nashville holiday uniform” consists of sweaters, jeans and boots — is currently taking a break from the busyness, though, and focusing on shopping for friends. “I like to get my friends gifts that show that I really know them,” she explains. “If one of my friends says something about wanting something, I’ll write it down and get that for them for Christmas.”
Her own holiday wish list is a bit simpler: it includes a pasta maker, antique picture frames and “anything from Free People or Anthropologie,” she shares. She has big holiday hopes for her fans, too. “I hope that they’re happy, wherever they are … that they feel loved by the people around them,” she shares. “And most of all I hope they feel appreciated by me. My life would look nothing like this without them.”

This ain't your granddad's country music. Today's country stars are just as at home on the pop charts as they are on the country tallies. Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, the Band Perry and Jason Aldean, among others, all made their mark in other genres in 2011.
Swift, who was honored this month as Billboard's Woman of the Year, made it a point to invite pop (and a few country) stars onstage during her Speak Now world tour, including Nicki Minaj, Flo Rida, Usher, Justin Bieber, Jason Mraz and Kenny Chesney. The Country Music Association (CMA) and Academy of Country Music both named her their entertainer of the year, and she picked up Billboard Music Awards to boot.
In our 2011 year-end recap, Swift scores the Top Country Artist nod and her 2010 release, "Speak Now," leads the year-end Top Country Albums recap.
Taylor Swift has yet another achievement she can call "Mine." She was named the top country artist of 2011 by Billboard magazine on Friday (Dec. 9).
In addition, Swift's album, Speak Now, ranked second on the industry publication's year-end Top 200 list for album sales, just behind Adele's 21. Swift placed eighth on the all-genre Top 100 artists list.
Billboard ranked country artists based on album sales, track downloads and airplay, as well as touring revenue, Social 50 chart action, ringtone sales and streaming data provided by Nielsen BDS.
The 10 top-selling country albums are: Swift's Speak Now, Aldean's My Kinda Party, Rascal Flatts' Nothing Like This, Lady Antebellum's Need You Now, the Zac Brown Band's You Get What You Give, Lady Antebellum's Own the Night, The Band Perry's self-titled debut, Sugarland's The Incredible Machine, Keith Urban's Get Closer and Chesney's Hemingway's Whiskey.
Taylor pratar om nya albumet 2012
"She gave me a small taste of her new music-four songs-and I about went through the roof. These four songs alone will take her to another level, and I know her performance the next time out will go to another level. I’m looking forward to the next time out."
This year proved to be another amazing one for Taylor Swift. She just wrapped up the U.S. leg of her Speak Now Tour, released her new Wonderstruck perfume and unveiled her video for "Ours." But now, Swift has her sights set on an even bigger 2012.
Swift is gearing up to release her fourth album, and in an October interview, she revealed that her new songs were not about "moving on." So when MTV News caught up with the country star at the Billboard Women in Music event, we had to ask which emotions were triggering such a personal album.
"I can't tell you, because it's a secret," Swift teased. "It will be unveiled when it all comes out, because they all seem to have a theme to them, the records that we've put out so far, and this one is no different. It's very different in what it's about, but it's no different in the fact that it has its own name." Swift was on hand at the event with another honoree, Nicki Minaj, who is also set to release her new album in 2012, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
"I love her," Swift said of Minaj. "One of my favorite moments of the tour was when she came out at the Staples Center and sang 'Super Bass' with me, which was, like, the coolest thing. It was like a dream come true, so it's amazing to get to run into her and see her around, and I'm just such a fan." So would Swift possibly collaborate with Minaj on her next album? "I mean, we're not working on anything right now," Swift said. "But I would love to at some point. That would be amazing."
Varför klippte Taylor sitt hår?
When I saw Taylor Swift at Billboard and Crest 3D White's "Women in Music" event this afternoon, I couldn't believe her chic hair. The 22-year-old songstress, who normally has long, curly hair, was spotting with brand new bangs and a stick straight style. Here's what she thinks of her new look:
How did you decide to cut your hair?
I was on a photoshoot and they wanted to do, like, clip-in bangs and straighten my hair. I just said, ‘Why don’t you just cut them?’ They did.
Is it hard to have bangs with curly hair?
It’s actually not. I think I can figure out a way to incorporate them, I was playing around with it in my hotel room and I think that it might work both ways, but we’ll see. It’s just fun to play around with your hair and change it up. I never change it up, so this is nice.
What inspired your transformation?
I wanted to change my look a little bit and I’ve loved the way that bangs look on other people. I always seem to want to straighten my hair in the winter. And I think I just decided to go a step further this time.
How does your style routine generally change in the winter?
I usually wear more jeans. Spring and summer, I’m usually all dresses and skirts, so winter is like jeans, leggings, tights, dresses, dark colors and straight hair.
Are there any pieces in particular you’ve invested in for winter?
I’ve gotten a lot of Rugby and Ralph Lauren stuff because I think it looks very winter-y and Christmas-y, so that’s been stuff I really liked getting.
What’s your go-to New Year’s Eve outfit, hair and makeup?
It would probably be some sort of sparkly dress and straight hair and maybe a bold smoky eye and a nude lip.
