Online will premiere Taylor's new music video for "Ours" Friday, December 2^nd at 7:00pm ET. Taylor created the concept of the video herself, and then brought Declan Whitebloom on board to help her vision become a reality. And while she reveals lots of details about the video, what she wouldn’t divulge is how the video ends, instead teasing to a “surprise.” “Ours” is the fifth single released off of Speak Now, with the four previous singles released all going to #1.

Attention, country music fans! Mark your calendars; the lineup for Capital Hoedown 2012 has been announced and it’s bigger and better than ever.

“Our first year, we had traditional country artists, and last year, it was all new country,” says Denis Benoit, President and CEO of Concert International. “This year, what we’ve done is we’ve brought them both together.”

Making her only scheduled appearance in 2012 so far, Taylor Swift will perform at the third edition of Capital Hoedown, one of North America’s biggest country music festivals.

The one and only Reba McEntire, the Queen of Country, will also perform a headlining set, as will Brad Paisley, one of country music’s biggest superstars.

Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Coldplay are taking a stand against global hunger by auctioning concert tickets and memorabilia for charity.

Swift is offering up an autographed guitar for the annual Hungerthon auction organized by the WhyHunger foundation, which raises money to provide food for impoverished families around the world.

Perry fans can bid on a pink satin jacket from the pop star's California Dreams Tour wardrobe, while Coldplay will fly their lucky winner to see them at a London gig in June (12).

The Ramones rocker Marky Ramone is donating drum lessons, while Green Day, Nickelback, Cyndi Lauper and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham have all signed electric guitars to go under the hammer.

The Charity Buzz online auctions will come to a close on 30 November (11).

The tracks made their digital retail debuts Nov. 8, after previously being available only on the deluxe CD version of Swift's "Speak Now" album at Target stores. Six bonus "Speak" tracks made their arrivals digitally last week, with the Hot 100-debuting trio of tracks joined by alternate versions of "Speak" songs "Mine," "Back to December" and "Haunted," the latter of which re-enters the Hot 100 at No. 98 (24,000).

"Movie" marks Swift's Hot 100-record-extending eighth title to debut in the top 10. Lil Wayne ranks second with six top 10 launches. "Movie" is Swift's 10th top 10 overall and her first since "December" (No. 6) last year.

With her Hot 100 entrances, Swift continues her run of accumulating accolades. Last Wednesday, she was named the CMA's Entertainer of the Year, while Monday, Billboard reported that "Speak" single "Sparks Fly" became her fifth No. 1 on the Country Songs chart. And, she's not done yet: the 21-year-old will receive Billboard's Woman of the Year award at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event Dec. 2.

Taylor Swift, fresh off her win for Entertainer of the Year at Wednesday's Country Music Association Awards, is set to debut multiple singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart next week.

Swift may see two debuts within the top 15 of the tally, with a shot at a possible top 10 arrival. Her singles "If This Was a Movie" and "Ours" may sell around 150,000 and 130,000, respectively, by week's end on Sunday, Nov. 13, according to industry prognosticators.

 

Those kinds of sales figures may be enough to enable a top 15 debut -- with a decent shot at a top 10 arrival.

 

The two songs made their digital retail debut on Tuesday, Nov. 8, after only being previously available on the deluxe CD version of her "Speak Now" album at Target stores.

The singer told MTV News she's working on "some surprise projects that may or may not happen, and possibly some acting."

"I've just been so excited about what's gonna happen in the next year," she said. "I'm also really excited about [the next album]. I've been writing all the time. I've been writing so much for the new record. I can't believe I'm saying that already: It comes out in a year, but I'm already excited about it."

 

Before we officially ring in the new year, Swift shared that she's looking forward to the tail end of 2011, with the holidays and her 22nd birthday still to celebrate. "I'm excited about the holidays," she said. "I love Christmas. I love the whole buildup to Christmas and the way that everything is exciting and wintergreen-ish and Christmas tree-ish."

Taylor Swift is donating 6,000 books to the four public libraries in Reading, Pennsylvania—the town where she was born. The singer, in partnership with Scholastic, Inc., has let local librarians choose and divide the books among the various libraries, reports The Boot, but each volume will wear an identification star, to let young readers know where the book came from. Some will be handed out as prizes.

 

Taylor Swift is a country singer with extraordinary appeal among young girls. Library officials hope her incredible popularity with kids will get their attention and turn it on to reading. If these specially chosen books can inspire some of the girls from Taylor's own home town to spend more time reading, the project will be a success. Imagine the draw. Contests among fans to see who has read the most. Teens searching the stacks for the star-studded books. (Is Romeo and Juliette, by Shakespeare on the list? Taylor's song has a better ending.)

They will be easy to spot, because each book will wear a white star, right on the spine (where it can be seen when the books are on the shelves), and a special sticker identifying Taylor Swift as the donor. This project is part of a larger child literacy program spreading around the country, and thanks to Scholastic's help, the books can be purchased for around $68,000.

 

Taylor Swift hopes the initiative begun in her home town will spread to other towns and cities. Meanwhile, as every local knows, the town where Taylor grew up is pronounced REDing, not the way it looks. Read on!

Taylor Swift, the four-time Grammy winner and biggest selling albums artist in any genre for the past 12 months, has been chosen to receive the coveted Woman of the Year Award at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event on Dec. 2 in New York City.

 

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter is the youngest artist to ever receive the honor, and it comes on the heels of earning several 2011 Billboard Music Awards, among them Top Country Album for the five-time platinum selling "Speak Now."

 

Swift has spent the past year on the Speak Now World Tour in support of her third album,  which debuted last October atop the Billboard 200, selling over a million copies in its first week. All 14 tracks on the country-pop juggernaut were composed by Swift, and she made Hot 100 history by charting 11 songs off the album in a single week.

David Beckham, Jessica Biel, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift join creator, host and executive producer Nick Cannon in rolling out the orange carpet for this year's TeenNick HALO Awards! Recognizing real-life teens who are "Helping and Leading Others" (HALO), the third annual awards show features four extraordinary honorees and pairs them with a mega-celebrity who shares their commitment to service. The 90-minute special will also feature musical performances, celebrity presenters and special surprises. For the first time ever, the TeenNick HALO Awards will be taped live at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Calif., on Wednesday, Oct. 26, and premiere Sunday, Nov. 6, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nick at Nite. The special will encore Monday, Nov. 7, at 9:00 p.m. (ET) on TeenNick.

James O'Dwyer, 19, Tuscaloosa, Ala. (paired with Taylor Swift) - James was a freshman at University of Alabama when the devastating EF4 tornado hit Tuscaloosa, leaving a six mile track of destruction across the region. He started Magnolia Disaster Relief, an aid program that targets small rural towns hit the hardest by tornadoes and helped the least by delivering food, water and clothing, along with toys, furniture and fridges so affected people can start rebuilding their lives. James's HALO match is Taylor Swift who, among her many philanthropic endeavors, raises money and awareness to benefit those affected by tornadoes and floods.
