Som vi tidigare informerat kommer Taylor bli lurad av Justin Bieber i MTV serien Punk'd! Seriens första avsnitt som har premiär den 31 mars kommer just att handla om när Justin får Taylor att tro att de förstört ett bröllop. Ni kan även läsa mer om avsnittet under videon. I videon får vi tyvärr inte se något footage, endast höra röster från kaoset som utspelades. Och nej, Taylor svär inte i videon, utan de "bleepade" bort namnet (Justin) för att de inte ska veta vem som prankar henne.

Kanske har ni hört talas om 18-åriga Kevin McGuire från New Jersey som har blivit uppmärksammad i media för att vilja ta med Taylor på sin bal i början av juni. Kevin diagnotiserades två gånger med leukemi och han största önska var att ha Taylor som sin dejt och över 100 000 människor stödjer evengemanget på Facebook. Taylor har nu fått höra om Kevin men kan tyvärr inte följa med på hans bal den 1 juni, men...! Taylor har bjudit med Kevin att vara hennes dejt till The 46th Academy of Country Music Awards i april. My little brother- Kevin McGuire- was first diagnosed with Leukemia ALL when he was 13 years old and was in the seventh grade. He fought the battle of his life.. undergoing years of chemo, digesting over 35 pills a night, hundreds of spinal taps, and numerous bone marrow screenings.. and ultimately won his battle with cancer on April 24, 2010. All through out Kevin's treatment he kept his character in tact, remained playing basketball, and even started varsity football as a freshman. Kevin is known through out the community as the High school's "real life SUPER MAN!" Tragically, Kevin had a relapse, and is now fighting cancer for the second time. Kevin is the kindest, most noble 18 year old a person could even fathom meeting, and through out his ups and downs Kevin never even questioned " why me?" Nothing, and I mean NOTHING brightens Kevin's day more than Taylor Swift. Kevin DESERVES more than anyone a special event in his life.. and the one thing he wants is to GO TO PROM WITH TAYLOR SWIFT! Let's make this happen people! TAYLOR PLEASE GO TO PROM WITH KEVIN!!!!!! NO ONE DESERVES IT MORE! PS PROM JUST SO HAPPENS TO FALL ON HIS BIRTHDAY!

NBC's nyhetsproducent, Stephanie Baker, skulle producera Jenna Bush Hagers möte med Taylor inför The Lorax och skrev en liten artikel efter detta. Stephanie medger att hon inte var något speciellt stort fan av Taylor vilket dock ändrades efter mötet haha! En bild har också dykt upp på Jenna och Taylor som togs innan eller efter intervjun i Universal Studios.

I have to confess, until last month I wasn’t much of a Taylor Swift fan. I figured I was too old for her to be on my musical radar: The soundtrack for my generation’s romantic hopes and foibles came from the likes of Janis Ian, Joni Mitchell and Carole King. In fact, Janis Ian’s “Between the Lines” is still pretty much my “go-to” girlie album for post-relationship sorrow, although, I didn’t “learn the truth at 17,” but way past 30 (a tragically late bloomer.) Now I’ve changed my tune.

Preparing to produce this morning’s Jenna Bush Hager segment on TODAY about Taylor’s new movie, “The Lorax,” I became immersed in Taylormania: that she wrote “Tim McGraw” in math class, that her grandma was an opera singer, that her cat’s name is Meredith. I scored a 98 on a Taylor trivia test.

Mostly, though, I guess I’m just like everyone: in awe of how a 22-year-old writes so clearly about the roller coaster of romance. I may be a little late to the party, but I’m apparently not alone: My posse of gal pals of a certain age are all late bloomers when it comes to Taylor. Better late than never, right?

Åååh, spännande! Vi fick tidigare i veckan information om att Taylor kommer att ha ytterligare en låt på The Hunger Games Soundtrack och bara för några timmar sedan släpptes tracklistan via Itunes. Låten heter Eyes Wide Open och det är ingen duett utan sjungs endast utav Taylor. Kan verkligen inte vänta tills vi får höra den! Soundtracket släpps den 20 mars ♥

Det har under en tid cirkulerats diskussioner på Internet om vilken låt Taylor kommer att uppträda på söndag! Många gissar på Safe & Sound med The Civil Wars och därefter Mean eftersom Taylor är nominerad för den två grammys för den låten. Taylor kommer att bli introducerad av The Civil Wars som själva kommer att sjunga en del av sin låt Barton Hallow. Därefter kommer Taylor att uppträda med Mean, men det verkar som om hon kommer att göra en liten tvist med det hela. Det står tyvärr ingenting om Safe & Sound, mer vet vi inte. Bruno Mars "is going to channel his inner James Brown," Ehrlich says. "Last year, he was stuck in the '50s. He's moved ahead 10 years, and it's a great look."

Swift's retooling of Mean "is absolutely delicious," he says. "She's done the song on other shows, but never like this."

A few brief presentations include an Etta James tribute with Bonnie Raitt on guitar and Alicia Keys on keyboard, and a duet of It Had to Be You by Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood. The Civil Wars will introduce Swift with a snippet of Barton Hollow.

A few heavyweights -- the Beach Boys, Springsteen, Campbell -- made the bill but not the ballot. McCartney's only nomination is for his part in compiling the Band on the Run reissue.

Nu har vi fått en datum för släppningen av musikvideon av Safe & Sound! Det är inte den 23 mars, premiärdatumet för The Hunger Games filmen, utan redan nu på måndag - 13 februari. JA! Taylor och Viacom samarbetar med MTV genom att bli den första musikvideon att ha premiär precis samtidigt globat (alltså över hela världen). Genom att partna upp med Viacom kan premiärvisningen nå ut till över 600 miljoner hushåll och är ett perfekt sätt att visa att en ny film/låt är på gång!

Musikvideon kommer att ha premiär under en MTV News Special klockan 7:54 pm ET och kommer att kunna ses världen över via MTV. Förhoppningsvis kan vi även få klartecken från MTV Sverige snart. Den kommer även vara tillgänglig på internationella MTV sidor bara minuter senare.

Viacom and Taylor Swift have partnered for MTV's first global music video premiere, presenting the debut of Swift's “Safe & Sound” music video from “The Hunger Games” soundtrack across the Viacom Music Groups’ many channels and platforms. The video, set to air Feb. 13, could reach as many 600 million households around the world, according to Van Toffler, President of Viacom Music & Logo Group.

“I’m not sure we’ve ever done a global artist video premiere across all of our channels domestically much less globally,” Toffler told TheWrap. “What a great way to reach hundred of millions of people around the world and let them know about a movie and song.”

Taylor Swift is giving back once again. The 22-year-old singer has teamed up with Scholastic to generously donate 14,000 books to the Nashville Public Library.

The Scholastic books will be distributed among NPL's 21 branches in Taylor's beloved city. Each book will feature a special donation plate inside, which will read: "A Gift to the Children of Nashville from Taylor Swift and Scholastic Inc."

Books that are not put into circulation will be donated to low-income children, preschools and daycare centers, while others will be used as prizes for summer reading programs. "Swift's donation will help to provide incentive to encourage the love of reading and literature," says a press release from the Nashville Public Library.

The donation is one of the largest gifts the organization has ever received.

Ojojoj! Taylors senaste album, Speak Now, har nu blivit certifierad 4 x platinum - 4 miljoner album sålda (i USA)! Men inte bara det - You Belong With Me har blivit nedladdad 4 miljoner gånger, Ours, Taylors senaste singel, har blivit certifierad guld med 500 000 nedladdningar. Taylor Swift has more metal to add to her collection. The 22-year-old received four more certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), acknowledging downloads and album sales garnering gold and platinum recognition.

The Pennsylvania native's latest album, 'Speak Now' has reached quadruple platinum status, signifying sales in excess of four million units. Her No. 1 single, 'You Belong With Me,' from her 'Fearless' record scored four million downloads, while her latest single, 'Ours,' has been downloaded more than 500,000 times, earning it gold status. The songbird also received gold certification for her 2007 Christmas album, 'The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection.'

Taylor isn't the only country artist celebrating platinum status. Lady Antebellum's single 'Just a Kiss,' from their current 'Own the Night' CD, sold in excess of one million units. Two of Lady A's band members -- Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood -- are also celebrating Luke Bryan's 2009 Top 5 hit, 'Do I,' which they co-wrote with their Georgia brother.

Jerrod Niemann's first No. 1 single, 'Lover, Lover' has gone platinum, as well as Blake Shelton's latest chart-topping tune, 'God Gave Me You.'

Universal Pictures bekräftade idag att Taylor inte kommer att spela Eponine i filmen Les Miserables som har premiär i december. Tidigare i höst börjades det prata om att Taylor hade varit på audition för filmen och att hon senare hade fått rollen. Taylor besökte över producentens kontor när hon befann sig i London för en vecka sedan och vi var alla säkra på att detta betydde att Taylor skulle spela Eponine! Igår kväll (am. tid) blev det helt bekräftat att musikalartisten Samantha Barks skulle spela Eponine då Cameron Mackintosh tillkännagav detta live på scen. Jättetråkigt verkligen! Vi vet inte riktigt vad som hände. Det kan ha varit så att Taylor valde att tacka nej till rollen, att hon aldrig ens var aktuell i filmen, att det inte funkade med Taylors schema eller att producenten helt enkelt ändrade sig.

Det hade varit så himla mycket prat om detta i flera månader nu. Överallt på Internet har vi fått läsa hemska kommentarer om att Taylor skulle spela Eponine och klagomålen har haglat över henne. Det har varit så himla tråkigt att se haters dyka upp från alla håll för att ha en säga i valet utan att ens ge henne en chans. Jag är 100 % säker på att Taylor skulle ha gjort ett helt fantastiskt jobb i filmen som Eponine och i december skulle vi alla stå där och applådera. För att vara ärlig är jag jättebesviken att Taylor inte kommer att spela Eponine, det hade varit ett helt otroligt steg i Taylors karriär och skulle verkligen ha visat alla haters där ute att Taylor knappt har börjat! Men jag är otroligt stolt över henne, även om det kanske inte slutade som vi hade velat. Däremot önskar vi all lycka till Samantha som kommer göra ett toppenjobb (Samantha spelade Eponine i musikalversionen)!

Förhoppningsvis får vi se Taylor i någon annan film senare i år ♥

Billboard has released its Power 100 ranking in the music industry and the list is full of music industry movers and shakers, most of them of the “behind-the-scenes” sort. Some of your favorite pop stars made the list, though! New mom Beyonce, the Mother Monster known as Lady Gaga and country dynamo Taylor Swift all occupy space on the list.

Blue Ivy‘s parents are a true music biz power couple, with Jay-Z and Bey ranking together at No. 13. There’s safety and power in numbers, right? With the Hov having 12 Billboard No. 1 albums(that’s a record) and having sold 28 million albums in the U.S., and the bootylicious Queen B selling 29 million album as a member of Destiny’s Child and as a solo artist, it’s easy to see why they landed where they landed.

 

T Swift entered the list at No. 78, for a variety of reasons. In addition to the fact that she is a crossover artist beloved in both the pop and country worlds — not to mention how fervently her teen set worships her — Swift has many revenue streams and branding arms to her empire: She owns her own management company; launched her own perfume; is a CoverGirl pitchwoman; has a Walmart clothing line; and a retail partnership with Target. Swift is a branding genius.

Taylor är en av 13 låtskrivare som CMA hedrar för att ha haft tre top hits detta året! 

A lucky 13 songwriters were honored by Country Music Association with an award honoring them for having three chart topping hits in the past year. Among those honored were Taylor Swift, Hillary Scott, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown and Luke Bryan.

“This occasion affords CMA the opportunity to honor true creators,” said CMA Board President-Elect Troy Tomlinson, President and CEO, Sony/ATV Music Publishing Nashville of giving CMA Triple Play Awards at the Songwriters Luncheon. “These exceptional songwriters begin every song with a blank page. They proceed to create something out of thin air that moves us. That’s magical. That’s why we love and honor songwriters. They put into words and music what the rest of us feel but can’t articulate.”

“Any songwriter realizes that to get a song recorded and then have it make it to the top of the charts requires the alignment of every single star in the universe,” said Tomlinson. “But to have three songs do that in such a short period of time is truly exceptional. I am grateful to be a part of the CMA honoring these gifted creators of song.”

Rory Kennedy and Taylor Swift: They’ve been quite the odd couple at Sundance, where the country/pop singer somewhat inexplicably showed up to the red carpet premiere of Kennedy’s HBO documentary about her mother, “Ethel.” On Sunday, Kennedy opened up about their budding friendship, telling ABC News Now’s “Popcorn with Peter Travers” that she and the 22-year-old Swift are so close that Swift has written a song about the iconic American family.

“She really just loves my mother which is so sweet,” Kennedy said. “I’m a huge fan of hers, I have young girls and we had been to a few of her concerts. I met with her at one of them and she had read a ton of books about our family. She was inspired and wrote a song.”

 

After that, Kennedy extended an invitation for Swift to come to the Sundance premiere of “Ethel,” and on Friday, there she was. Kennedy also said that while the family’s a fan of Swift, they themselves are not so musically inclined. ”My uncle Teddy, he had a good voice,” she said. “We are actually terrible, terrible singers but we love to sing.”

Imorgon, fredagen den 20 januari, kommer Taylor att ta en tripp till Park City i Utah för att närvara vid välkända Sundance Film Festival! Taylor kommer att närvara vid premiären av HBO's dokumentär "Ethel" (av Rory Kennedy). Ni kanske kommer ihåg att Taylor pratade om att en av de få gångerna Taylor någonsin blivit starstruck var när bland annat fick träffa Robert F. Kennedy's änka Ethel Kennedy? Det är Ethel dokumentären handlar om!

TAYLOR SWIFT will make her first trip to the Sundance Film Festival on Friday. The singer/songwriter will attend the premiere of Rory Kennedy’s HBO documentary “Ethel,” about her mother, Ethel Kennedy.

In the current issue of Vogue, Swift talks about iconic American figures to whom she feels a connection, and says meeting Robert F. Kennedy’s widow was one of the few times she’s ever been starstruck.

 

“I got to spend the afternoon with Ethel a couple of weeks ago,” Swift tells the magazine. “She is one of my favorites, because you look back at the pictures of her and Bobby and they always look like they are having the most fun out of everybody.”

 

Ethel, 83, will make the trip to Sundance, too, to support her daughter’s film, as will a number of Kennedy siblings, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kerry Kennedy and Kate Townsend.
