Taylor att uppträda på EMA i Tyskland i November
Taylor Swift, No Doubt and Muse are the first acts confirmed to perform at the MTV EMA 2012, airing November 11 from Frankfurt, Germany.
Swift — who heads into the show as one of its most-nominated artists, with five nods — will be making her debut on the EMA stage, and No Doubt will be bringing their patented brand of California cool. Muse (who are old pros when it comes to the EMA) will thunder in on the heels of their brand-new The 2nd Law album, out this week.
"I've always wanted to go to the EMA, because you hear about the spectacle of it, and how everyone just goes all out for their performances," Swift said. "To be nominated for five EMAs was the most exciting feeling, and I was absolutely blown away. I can't wait to be there this year and perform on the show!"
The 2012 MTV EMA will air in the U.S. on Sunday, November 11, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on MTV2. Supermodel Heidi Klum has already been tapped to host the festivities, and additional performers and presenters will be announced at a later date.
And while we now know some of the acts who will be performing at the show, who will win is still anybody's guess. Rihanna leads all nominees with six EMA nods, followed by Swift's five, then Justin Bieber and Katy Perry with four apiece. Lana Del Rey, Jay-Z and Kanye West are also in the running as are One Direction, who Ed Sheeran is already picking to win everything.
Of course, you'll have the final say. Voting in all EMA categories is now under way at TV.MTVEMA.com and closes at 11:59 p.m. CT on Friday, November 9.

Maya Thompson pratar om "Ronan"
It's called "Ronan" and Swift debuted it on Friday during an appearance on the all-star Stand Up To Cancer telethon. The tune is a real-life story told from perspective of three-year-old cancer victim Ronan Thompson's mother, Maya, who heard the touching acoustic song for the first time when it was performed on the show.
"She called me a week before to tell me about the song," Thompson told MTV News. Though she had met Swift at a pair of Phoenix shows she attended in November — where Swift told her that she'd been reading Thompson's blog — Maya said that was the last time the two had touched base. "I was very surprised, to say the least. I heard it for the first time the night it was on TV."
Swift told Thompson she'd learned about Ronan on the blog, which Maya set up shortly after her son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. The site, which features Maya's letters to her son, was an attempt to tell the story of his illness and deal with his May 2011 death, just three days before his fourth birthday. Though she asked for permission to play "Ronan" on the telethon, Swift did not play it for Thompson beforehand. "I remember your bare feet down the hallway/ I remember your little laugh," the song begins. "Race cars on the kitchen floor/ Plastic dinosaurs, I love you to the moon and back." The chorus features the affecting lyrics, "Come on baby with me/ We're gonna fly away from here/ You were my best four years."
"It's pretty much the words from my blog," Thompson said of the lyrics. "Listening to it was very emotional and I was blown away by how she got it. She got it in a way that most people don't. She took the time to take the intimate parts of things I'd written and put them into the song."
Thompson has a co-writing credit on the song, with her portion of proceeds going to the Ronan Thompson Foundation. A spokesperson for Swift confirmed on Thursday (September 13) that there are not plans to add "Ronan" to Swift's upcoming Red album.
Thompson watched the telethon with her husband, twin sons and some friends and she said it was hard to listen to the her words come out in Swift's voice. "It was very emotional," she said, describing a feeling as experiencing Ronan's life and death all over again. "It's hard to hear, but she did it in such a beautiful way and it touched so many people. She got it right to a T. She really took the time to go through each thing I've written and she got it 100 percent right." Since the telethon, Thompson said she's gotten a flood of emails that range from positive thoughts from 13-year-old girls to words of encouragement from 70-year-old Army veterans.
The two women haven't spoken since telethon, but Thompson said she's still in awe at how a 22-year-old singer without children could tap into her story with such empathy.
"When we met in Phoenix she had tears streaming down her cheeks when she told me how sorry she was that Ronan passed away," Maya said. "She said she'd been reading our story and said she was so inspired by the love I had for Ronan. I had a moment when I thought, 'this girl's too good to be true.' But she's not. What you see is what you get. She's that kind-hearted."
Though Thompson said she's not planning on turning to songwriting full-time, she's considering offers to turn her blog into a book. "I hope it gives them strength and is a reminder of how powerful a love story between a mother and a child can be," she said of her wish for how "Ronan" will impact those who hear it.

‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ rebounds 2-1 for a third week on top, marking the longest command for a country song since Kenny Rogers’ ‘Lady’
Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” reunites with the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, rebounding 2-1 for a third total week at the summit. With her return trip to No. 1, “Never” claims the longest rule atop the Hot 100 for a country song in almost 32 years.
Listen to ‘Ronan’
Not satisfied with her notable No. 1, Swift also posts the chart’s highest debut, as charity single “Ronan” soars in at No. 16.
The three weeks in charge for “Never” represent the longest Hot 100 reign for a country title since Kenny Rogers’ “Lady” Led for six weeks, beginning Nov. 15, 1980. The smoldering ballad had already worked its way into chart headlines this year: the song was written by Lionel Richie, who led the Country Albums chart for four weeks beginning in April with “Tuskegee,” a duets album of covers of his classic R&B hits featuring country acts. The set includes an update of “Lady,” featuring Rogers. In addition to topping the Hot 100 for six frames, the original “Lady” led Country Songs for one week (Nov. 22, 1980).
Not only is Taylor Swift still #1 on the Billboard Digital Songs Chart, but she also takes the chart's highest debut with #2.
"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together has stayed on top of the chart (likely due to a performance on the MTV VMAs last week), while her charity song "Ronan" debuts at #2 with 211,000. The song was released on Friday after a performance on the multi-network TV special Stand Up To Cancer. Swift is the first act to have the top two spots on the chart since Ke$ha on January 23, 2010 with "Tik Tok" at #1 and "Blah Blah Blah" (ft 3OH13) at #2.
Meanwhile, Alex Clare's song "Too Close", which was featured on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance, climbs 11-6 with its best sales week ever of 127,000. It has sold a total of 1.48 million. Pink also saw an increase, moving 12-8 with "Blow Me (One Last Kiss"), which she performed at the VMAs. It's a 27% increase.

Taylor att uppträda med en ny låt på Stand Up to Cancer
Taylor Swift will pay tribute to a young cancer victim with a special song during Friday's "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon.
"Ronan" is dedicated to a 4-year-old boy who died last year of neuroblastoma. Swift, 22, wrote the song after reading the blog of Ronan's mother, Maya Thompson, who is credited as a co-writer.
According to a person familiar with the show, but who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to speak, the song has never been performed in public. After the telethon, it will be available on iTunes; all proceeds will go to cancer-related charities.
"Stand Up to Cancer" will air on all the major networks and cable channels. Besides Swift, it will feature celebrities including Tom Hanks, Sofia Vergara, Julia Roberts, Michael Douglas, Samual L. Jackson, Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Emma Stone, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Olympic gold medalists Gabrielle Douglas and Missy Franklin and more.
The telethon comes a day after Swift performed at the MTV Video Music Awards. She sang her latest single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," during the annual awards show. The song is from her upcoming album "Red," which is due out next month.

Taylor Swifts nya album ”RED” släpps den 22 oktober. Så här säger Taylor själv om albumet:
“For the last two years, I've been working on an album called Red. I called it Red because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. In my mind, when you experience love that's fast paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication, and all of those lovely emotions…in retrospect, it all looks red.”
