Intervju från Weinstein Party
“To step away from music, it has to be substantial,” Taylor Swift told Speakeasy at last night’s Weinstein Company holiday party.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriterhas two projects in the works with the Weinstein Company. She wrote an original song for the movie “One Chance,” and she’s playing Rosemary in a coming film adaptation of Lois Lowry’s Newbery-winning 1993 novel “The Giver.”
Clutching a rolled up napkin, Swift said Harvey Weinstein, the Co-Chairman of the Weinstein Company, “was just so generous.”
Swift recently returned from South Africa where she was shooting “The Giver” alongside Jeff Bridges. “It’s a small part, which is perfect for me and exactly what I was looking for,” she said. “Plus, it’s Harvey.”
Swift has previously appeared in the romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day,” the TV shows “New Girl” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and voiced the character Audrey in the animated movie “The Lorax.”
“Sweeter Than Fiction,” which Swift co-wrote with fun guitarist Jack Antonoff, will run over the end credits of the British film “One Chance” which traces the rags-to-riches story of “Britain’s Got Talent” winner Paul Potts.
“I was really inspired by the husband and wife love story, it’s a film that needs to be seen but I wanted to focus on the love, the relationship between those two,” said Swift.
She also complimented this reporter on her red lips. “It’s just so holiday themed, and hey, this is a holiday party, so well done,” she said.

Yahoointervju om Taylors stil
Pop sensation Taylor Swift may get constant press for her tumultuous love life, but here at Yahoo Shine, we're obsessed with the star for another reason: her personal style. From her pitch-perfect off-duty wardrobe to her glam taste in red carpet gowns, Swift dresses as flawlessly as her enviable bangs and gorgeous red lips look. While she prepares for a crazy whirlwind schedule that includes an international tour, the American Music Awards, the Country Music Awards, and an upcoming album, Swift has also been collaborating with Keds, the iconic sneaker brand, on covetable comfortable shoes. We sat down with the star to get the scoop on her style icons, the best and worst things she's ever worn, and her beauty secrets.Yahoo Shine: Your red carpet style has really evolved over the years. What's your favorite look of all time?I wore a gown to the Brits [in February] that was a black [Elie Saab] dress, and it had a belt, and I had a smoky makeup look. That was one of my favorites.
Do you have any fashion regrets from the past?
I started walking red carpets when I was 16. I think since I missed prom so many times, I would wear prom-like dresses. Princessy-, pastels… I can't remember a specific one, I just see them all as a blur. [Laughs] Please don't put a big picture of them in your article like, "A slideshow of Taylor's terrible prom choices!"
Have stylists ever introduced you to something you didn't think you'd wear that you now love?
I remember the first time my stylist brought in a pair of high-waisted shorts. I was like, "Oh, what is that? No! Get it away from me!" And then I put a pair on and I was like, "I love this!" I ended up wearing them onstage all the time.
What style tip would you share with our readers?
I feel bossy telling people what to do, but I think the best option for what to wear is something that won't make you cringe in 20 years, like passing trends. When everybody's wearing neon, I'm not. When everybody's got spikes on everything, I'm not doing that. When everybody's trying to look tough, I'm not. When you ignore fads and just wear what you like that's classic and simple, I think that's the way to go for longevity as far as style is concerned.
Which of your peers do your think has great style?
I always like what Lena [Dunham] wears, because it's always so her. She knows how to dress in a way that represents her personality. It's so perfect, because she's just being herself with her fashion choices, and I think that's my favorite thing. It's very brave to showcase who you are by what you wear.
Who are your style icons?
Do you know who Cyd Charisse is?
Yup! [Editor's note: Cyd Charisse was a beautiful actress and dancer during the 1940s and '50s who performed alongside Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.]She is my favorite right now. I keep looking at photos of her looking so classic. She's my style icon of the moment. I always waver between Audrey Hepburn, Francoise Hardy or Jane Birkin.

Sweeter Than Fiction på svenska Itunes!
Taylor Swift is aiming for ’80s pop with ‘Sweeter Than Fiction,’ her contribution to the ‘One Chance’ soundtrack co-written with fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff. But does it work?Yes. And it works beautifully. The production is reminiscent of Brat Pack classics like OMD’s ‘If You Leave’ and the Cure’s ‘Friday I’m in Love,’ but in terms of her own previous work, Swift’s sugary offering is most akin to her ‘Red’ track ‘State of Grace,’ with its electric guitars, infectious melody and heartfelt, optimistic lyrics. In ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’ Swift encourages a down on his luck love, singing, “I’ll be one of the many saying / Look at you now, look at you now, now / I’ll be one of the many saying / Look at you now, look at you now, now / I’ll be one of the many saying you’ve made us proud, you’ve made us proud.”Swift’s vocals are stronger than usual on the track, and her harmonies are heaven sent. If you listen to this song and don’t want to hold hands and dance in a field and hug the person you love, check your pulse. You may need more help than we can give you.

Taylor Swift Education Center
Five years ago, Taylor Swift was singing about sitting in class in her song, “Fifteen.” This week, the pop/country superstar is preparing to open three classrooms of her own.
On Saturday, the Taylor Swift Education Center will open earlier than expected at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The center is the product of a $4 million donation Swift pledged in 2012 — the largest single donation made by an artist in the museum’s 46-year history.
The center, which had a previously announced opening date of early 2014, spans two floors and includes three classrooms and a learning lab, as well as an interactive children’s exhibit gallery that will open next year. Swift told The Tennessean on Tuesday that she was happy that the classrooms came first, as those were a priority for her and the museum.
“In school, I was taught a certain amount about music, a certain amount about theater, and that interest sparked something in me. It made me look elsewhere to learn much more about it,” said Swift, now 23.
“I think, for me, it’s just going to be so interesting to see Nashville continue to be this hub for music, and this hub for music education. I love the fact that people are coming from all over the world to go to school for music (in Nashville), I love the fact that this is now a new opportunity for kids to be a part of programs that are going to help them know more about what we do here.”
The completed center will give the museum seven times more space for new programs, as well as firmly established ones. Museum director Kyle Young said that about 75,000 students participated in the museum’s educational offerings in 2012. “This gives us a lot more space to do a lot more things,” Young said.
Those plans expand beyond music, and won’t just be geared for children, but teens, adults and seniors, as well.

Taylor Swift was excited to wrap the U.S. leg of her spectacular Red Tour with three shows in her adopted hometown of Nashville, Sept, 19, 20 and 21.
Taylor expressed her unbridled joy, and also received some industry plaudits, at an invitation-only pre-show reception at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Thursday night (Sept. 19).
“We’re going to spend our last shows in Nashville,” Taylor said. “On the Speak Now Tour, the last show was in New York. [For this tour], I realized that this is my hometown and one of the craziest crowds we play for.”
Scott Borchetta, the CEO of Big Machine Records, Taylor’s label, led an industry toast to Taylor for her recent accomplishments. “She’s about taking chances. She is fearless,” noted the label head.
Taylor was presented with a variety of plaques, including one marking 6 million sales of her album Red and another for her No. 1 single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Honors also came from overseas as David Joseph, CEO of Universal Music Group UK, gave Taylor a plaque for her sales achievements in the UK. Taylor’s single “Begin Again” sold 1 million downloads, while Red exceeded sales of 4 million copies. “I didn’t know it was that many,” an astonished Taylor noted. “This is so awesome.”
Taylor’s show itself proved an entertaining spectacle of music, colorful wardrobes and innovative staging. She promised that a special guest would join her on each of the Nashville shows and she did not disappoint on her opening evening. Luke Bryan took the stage to a crescendo of loud applause and performed a duet with Taylor on his hit “I Don’t Want This Night to End.”
Attendees at the show likely felt the same way, but the evening nonetheless had to come to a close. Taylor wrapped it in an explosive finale, sporting a ringmaster costume and leading a group singalong on “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” followed by a dazzling shower of confetti.
