Taylor att uppträda på CMA Festival
Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson added as performers for 2013 CMA Music Festival
Seven-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift has been tapped for this year’s 2013 CMA Music Festival, set for June 6-9. As part of the four day event, Country music’s brightest stars will take the stage with their biggest hits for the gathering throngs of fans. Typically, the event, titled “Country Music’s Night to Rock,” is filmed in LP Field and will air on ABC later in the year.
Joining Swift in the lineup are Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Gary Allan, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Hunter Hayes, Little Big Town, The Band Perry, Keith Urban, Florida-Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Jake Owen, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Zac Brown Band.
“We have an amazing lineup of talent for this year’s Festival,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “I know our fans will be entertained and enthralled to see our annual family reunion of the best and brightest performers in the industry.”
Each evening, the gates open promptly at 6:30 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets now for the festival.

“I was just sort of like, Oh well, you know, I can laugh at myself,” Swift, who was supposedly in the bathroom when it was going on, said of the hosts’ riff on whether or not she should go after Michael J. Fox’s son or indulge in some “me” time.
“But what it ended up adding to was this whole kind of everyone jumping on the bandwagon of ‘Taylor dates too much’—which, you know, if you want some big revelation, since 2010 I have dated exactly two people.”
- LA Times
But while the Grammy Award winner admits that she’s dealing with a “little bit of a chaotic media circus right now,” she also says she’s looking forward to meeting her “great love.”
“Like a guy who wants to know the stories of who I was before this,” she says. “And the things that aren’t on my Wikipedia page and the things that didn’t happen on an awards show.”
"If I could find someone who just looked at me like I’m a girl, like a girl they want to be their girlfriend, with all my accomplishments and my criticisms, without this big cartoon character that most people see me as."
- Vanity Fair
And, according to Sales, Swift’s friend wanted to make one thing specifically clear.
“Why I think her friend was so intent on setting the record straight was that she felt that Taylor has been misrepresented in the media, because the media has been skewing everything so towards the guys’ version of the stories, not the girl’s version of the story.”

ACM Presents: Superstar Summer Nights
Country superstars Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift and R&B artist Ne-Yo are the first names added to the bill for Tim McGraw’s Academy of Country Music concert special.
The two-hour-long “ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night” will be taped Monday, April 8, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will be shown at an unspecified later date on the CBS Television Network. All proceeds from ticket sales go to ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy.
“There’s no better time for live music than in the heat of the summer,” said 15-time ACM winner McGraw in a statement. “Country music is hotter than it has ever been, and with some help from a few friends in other genres too, we’re going to get summer started off right. I’ve been lucky enough to have all these artists join me on tour, and it’ll be fun to get everyone back together to help raise money and bring some attention to Lifting Lives. Not enough people know what good work the organization does, and when I was asked to help put this show together, it was a no-brainer.”

Citat: Tom Odell pratar om Taylor
"Before I covered 'I Knew You Were Trouble', I didn't know loads about her. When I was listening to the song I realized she's an incredible lyric writer. I bought her album Red after that and she writes it all herself - I didn't know that. Some of it is incredible. I'm definitely a fan.""I think when someone is everywhere, a bit of their integrity is lost in their art. Sometimes you've just got to take a second look. She's great, I'd love to work with her."
Cancerpatient designade Taylors Grammysmycke
“The champagne diamond-and-amethyst bracelet Taylor Swift wore to the Grammys was created by Jaimin, a young patient who already had a passion for jewelry design. “Jaimin started making jewelry before he got sick,” Schwartz tells PEOPLE. “He came prepared with all the jewelry making tools.” And he was especially excited to design for Swift, whom his mom says he listens to constantly. “He wanted diamonds to sparkle because Taylor sparkles,” Schwartz says of Jaimin’s inspiration — and shares that haute N.Y.C. department store Bergdorf Goodman is already requesting “the Jaimin bracelets,” not realizing that he’s just a kid”
Vad vi kan förvänta oss på BRIT Awards
Taylor Swift will be going dark for the Brit Awards in London next week (20Feb13) after wowing fans with her all-white circus stage set at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (10Feb13).
Costume designer Marina Toybina, who created the singer’s look for the Grammys, started work on costumes for the Love Story star’s showstopping Brits spectacular on Monday (11Feb13) and reveals the London look will be the “yin to the yang” of the singer’s most recent awards style.
She tells Wenn, “Taylor will be going much darker for the Brits - there will be a lot of black. It will be like a part two to what we did for the Grammys… but that’s not to say we’ll be creating another circus onstage. It will look different.”
And Toybina reveals both Grammys circus ringleader and black widow looks will be incorporated into shows on Swift’s upcoming tour, which begins next month (Mar13).
She adds, “Her album is called Red and so fans can expect a lot of white, red and black onstage.”
Meanwhile, the designer reveals it took her and 15 stylists, sewers and dressmakers 10 days to create the costumes for Swift’s Grammys stageshow.
She says, “It was exhausting. We didn’t get much sleep for a week and a half. But it was all worth it when we saw the end result and the look on Taylor’s face made all the effort worthwhile. She was so excited.”
Swift took the stage with her band, 14 dancers and seven speciality circus acts to open the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Artikel om Ed Sheeran på turnén
Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran gave us a one-two performer punch at the2013 Grammy Awards, with the two talented artists taking the stage Sunday night to wow the star-studded crowd.
Swift kicked off the show acting as a ring leader to her own onstage circus with a rousing rendition of her nominated song, “We are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” while Sheeran slowed things down for “The A Team” with a memorable duet with Elton John.
And if fans liked what they saw, they better get used to it because the two are hitting the road, sans John, on Swift’s upcoming Red tour, which kicks off next month.
We recently caught up with Sheeran, who is Swift’s opening act, who revealed how she easily persuaded him to join her on tour.
“There’s no one really bigger in the world right now that I could tour with so to be able to get on that tour and to be invited on its not like some of these tours where people have to pay money or it’s a favor,” Sheeran said. “She just literally texted me saying, ‘Do you want to come on tour?’ and I was like, ‘Yes.’ “
This isn’t the first time they’ve collaborated, the two have a duet,“Everything Has Changed,” on Swift’s Red album, and Sheeran admitted there’s a “large possibility” that the two will be writing together on the road. So why do these two work so well together?
“We’re male and female, but we do exactly the same thing like we’re both the same age, we both write songs with guitars we both tour playing acoustic music and that’s kind of it,” Sheeran said. “We’ve got a similar sense of humor. I guess we just have a lot in common.
Artikel om "Highway Don't Care"
Is ‘Highway Don’t Care’ one of your favorite tracks from Tim McGraw‘s ‘Two Lanes of Freedom‘ album? If so, you have modern technology to thank for the colossal collaboration between the superstar, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
The blending of the vocals and instrumental track on ‘Highway Don’t Care’ sounds as if the three acts spent an unlimited time together in the recording studio, but fans would be interested to find out that none of them actually stepped foot in the same room at the same time in the process.
“Thank God for modern technology because everybody is so busy,” McGraw confesses (quote via Country Music Tattle Tale). “I could just shoot over the track to Keith and he could lay his part down and Taylor could do the same.”
But would ‘Highway Don’t Care’ have benefited from in-person interaction between the track’s three featured musicians? McGraw doesn’t think so.
“It’s hard to say, but I don’t know how it could be any better,” he gushes. “I knew I wanted Taylor from the very beginning, and Keith and I have been trying to find a way to work together for a long time. This was the perfect song for all of us.”
“I’m a big fan of both of those guys. I think Taylor is just a really special artist for all of music. And she’s a real shining light in our industry,” McGraw furthers in an exclusive interview with Taste of Country. “And I think Keith Urban is one of the most talented guys around. I’ve always been a huge fan of his as an artist and a singer, but his guitar playing I think is second to none. He’s one of the best guitar players out there. To have him play guitar on my record is just something special.”
In our review of McGraw’s new studio album, we concur that ‘Highway Don’t Care’ is one of the standout tracks. ‘Two Lanes of Freedom,’ which impacted on Feb. 5, serves as the singer’s highly-anticipated debut Big Machine Records release. The McGraw/Swift/Urban song is already at No. 2 on iTunes Top 10 most-downloaded country songs, just behind Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble.’

Taylor på omslaget av US Weekly's Collector's Edition
If you know Taylor Swift's music, you know she's looking for love. Her songs are all somehow about the relentless pursuit of romance. But one song on her latest album is more about the fame she's kind of lucked into. In a special collector's edition of Us magazine on newsstands Friday (Feb. 8), Swift reveals the story behind "The Lucky One." Swift says it was inspired by people she'd seen become stars, then had everyone tell them how lucky they were. But in the song, it's the girl who runs away from the fame who is really the lucky one in the end. "I don't know how I see my future ending up, but I hope I'll know how to age gracefully and when to step out of the spotlight," Swift says. "I hope I'll end up happy."

Taylor pratar hennes favoriter i Nashville
NL: How does it feel to have your own place in Midtown Nashville?
TS: I love living in Midtown. In 10 minutes, I can walk to Hillsboro Village through the Vanderbilt campus, past the gorgeous old stone buildings and churches. I love being so close to Green Hills and the Gulch and Broadway. Everything is two minutes away.
NL: What’s your favorite thing about owning and having your own place?
TS: My favorite thing is getting to have my friends over and cook for them. Hanging out with friends at home always turns into some piano sing-along, so I have all kinds of percussion instruments and guitars lying around. Also, living in an apartment motivates you to get out and get things done during the day. Something about living up in the sky, being able to see the whole city going about its day, makes you want to get up early and go accomplish things.
NL: If you had a day to be anonymous in Music City, what would you do and where would you go?
TS: I’d just probably do the same things I usually do. It would be so depressing to think I couldn’t go certain places because people know who I am now. I love going to the shops in Franklin and walking around the adorable areas in East Nashville (my fiddle player Caitlin’s neighborhood) and walking to Starbucks in the morning.
Taylor certifierad av RIAA
The RIAA has released its tallies of last year's Gold and Platinum certifications, with Adele, Taylor Swfit, Carly Rae Jepsen and Gotye unsurprisingly among the most-awarded artists of 2012. Last year, the RIAA awarded more song download honors than any other year in program history, including a 70 percent increase during the past two years, a 25 percent increase year-over-year, and a record breaking 139 digital songs certified Platinum in 2012. In total, 524 digital songs certifications were awarded in 2012, vs. 409 in 2011, and 313 in 2010.
The RIAA also awarded the Diamond award to Adele in 2012, whose smash album 21 became the first album in a decade to sell more than 10 million units in less than two years. Taylor Swift earned 2012’s highest album certification with Red, which sold more than three million U.S. copies in just one month to become the RIAA’s top certified album at 3x multi-Platinum. She was also awarded a 3x multi-Platinum certification for "We Are Never Getting Back Together" and Platinums for "Red," "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Begin Again" and "Eyes Open." Taylor’s career digital RIAA song certifications now surpass 37 million sold since her career began in 2006.
Taylor pratar om den kommande turnén
Taylor Swift has been turning heads with her new, sexy wardrobe, but the 23-year-old says it's just a reflection of getting older.Swift has people buzzing about her recent red carpet choices, which have included plunging necklines and shorter skirts. "As far as wardrobe, we have been operating from a different place," Swift said.
While her choices may be demure compared with the Kim Kardashians of the world, for Swift, a former teen sweetheart, it's raised eyebrows, and she acknowledges that it's been a bit of a shock for some people who are accustomed to seeing her wear long dresses. She recalled how her decision to wear shorts at last year's MTV Video Music Awards caused a stir.
"It was like, 'Gasp, Taylor wears shorts.' And I thought it was hilarious," she said, adding: "I'm not going to be like taking my clothes off or that sort of thing."
Swift's new look is a reflection of her overall maturation, with her latest album, "Red," selling more than 3 million copies since it was released last fall and producing two smash singles, "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," which is nominated for record of the year at next month's Grammy Awards.
"I'm so happy about (my) three nominations — it's so unreal," Swift said in a phone interview Monday from Paris.
